SQUADRON & COMPANY GUIDONS
392nd BOMBARDMENT GROUP (HEAVY)  •  ATTACHED SERVICE UNITS

The 10th Station Complement Squadron embodied the various section responsible for running the airfield from which the 392nd BG operated. Additional support was provided by a quartermaster company (supply & transportation), an ordnance company (storage & issue of ammunition & bombs), a chemical decontamination detachment and two military police detachments. Also assigned was the  2101st Engineer Firefighting Platoon (Separate) (Aviation), the 465th Sub-Depot (detached from Eighth Air Force Service Command) and Detachment 118, 18th Weather Squadron. These units were not organic but attached to the 44th BG.

Separate platoons were not authorized guidons; as a non-TOE organization the 465th Sub-Depot probably had a guidon with the Air Corps branch insignia only. For detachments of squadrons and companies the guidon is depicted though in practice it would have remained with the headquarters element.
