Notes

Headquarters companies (HHC), troops (HHT) and batteries (HHB) of separate brigades and groups are authorized guidons of the same colors and design as the corresponding organizational flag of the unit. US Army guidons are now made of heavyweight rayon banner cloth, but serviceable older examples made of wool or cotton bunting are still in use. Dimensions are 20 inches at the hoist by 27 inches on the fly with a 10-inch fork. Insignia and numerals are applied to read properly on both sides of the guidon.
