The Dannebrog
(Danish banner), is the oldest national flag still in use today. Its
design dates, probably, from the fourteenth century and it has served as
the national flag of
Denmark
since the sixteenth century. The version depicted above is the
Splittflag, the ensign
of the Royal Danish Navy. |
