ARGENTINE REPUBLIC
FLAGS OF THE ARMY • CIRCA 1960
The positional and command flags of the Cold War-era Argentinean Army were of simple design and with some exceptions employed the national colors: sky blue and white. The flags for corps commanders were reminiscent of the German Army's WW II-era corps flag. Occasionally different colors or a simple badge served to distinguish among units of an echelon, e.g. the flags for commanders of divisions. The national flag, in 1:2 proportions, was also the war flag. See also Naval Flags of Argentina.Flag Proportions: Flags of the Argentine Army were proportioned 1:2.
