UNITED STATES ARMY AIR FORCES
SQUADRON & COMPANY GUIDONS
94th BOMBARDMENT GROUP (HEAVY) • ATTACHED SERVICE UNITS
The 6th Station Complement Squadron embodied the various section responsible for running the airfield from which the 94th BG operated. Additional support was provided by a quartermaster company (supply & transportation), an ordnance company (storage & issue of ammunition & bombs; general maintenance), a chemical decontamination company (one platoon detached to the 95th BG, 13th BW) and a military police company). Also attached was the 2025th Engineer Firefighting Platoon (Separate) (Aviation), the 453rd Sub-Depot (from VIII Service Command) and Detachment 468, 18th Weather Squadron.
Separate platoons were not authorized guidons; as a non-TOE organization the 463rd Sub-Depot probably had a guidon with the Air Corps branch insignia only. For detachments of squadrons and companies the guidon is depicted though in practice it would have remained with the headquarters element.
