1st ARMORED DIVISION ARTILLERY (UEx)
Unit Guidons

In 2014-15 The Army reactivated the division artillery (DIVARTY) headquarters to supervise the training and readiness of the FA battalions organic to the brigade combat teams of divisions. This was done by reflagging the separate fires brigades associated with the divisions, e.g. the 212th Fires Brigade was reflagged as 1st Armored Division Artillery. The revived DIVARTY headquarters also inherited the units and missions of the brigades they supplanted, although the latter are attached rather than assigned. Operationally the DIVARTY will provide fire support planning and coordination at the division level. In line with the UEx concept it is a modular unit that can be configured with various numbers and types of field artillery units.
The 1st Armored Division Artillery ("Iron Steel") was reactivated in 2014.  It currently (2016) has two Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS) battalions, a separate target acquisition battery and a signal network support company.
