2nd BRIGADE, 5th INFANTRY DIVISION (MECHANIZED) Cold War Organization  •  1988

The 2nd Brigade of the 5th Infantry Division was a balanced formation with two armored battalions (one with M1 tanks armed with a 105mm gun; one with M60A3 tanks armed with a 105mm gun) and two mechanized infantry battalion (M113 APCs). The 2-152 Armor was a roundout battalion from the Alabama ARNG.
