69th INFANTRY BRIGADE, 35th INFANTRY DIVISION Cold War Organization  •  1988

The 69th Infantry Brigade of the Kansas ARNG controlled two of the 35th Infantry Division's infantry battalions and two of its armored battalions. The former were equipped with the M113 APC and the latter were equipped with the M60A1 tank (105mm gun). Infantry and armor battalions of the Army National Guard with a NATO mission were organized under the Army of Excellence (AoE) scheme. Though not organized as such, the 69th Infantry Brigade was technically a separate brigade.
